Conference 27 September 2017 - Treviso In Treviso
a conference on "the Logistics-Sectorial relationship Agro-Food of the North East"
For the growth of the agro-food sector (one of the most vital in the Triveneto economy), the effectiveness and efficiency of infrastructures and logistic services are fundamental. The theme will be at the center of the conference: "What logistics for the agro-food sector in the North East?" Organized on 27 September by Assologistica, in collaboration with the Basso Group and with the patronage of Unindustria Treviso.
Economics and logistics, an increasingly inseparable pair: with the advent of the new economy and with the fundamental role of exports, the growth of GDP and employment is increasingly connected to the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics infrastructures and services.
The role that logistics and transport infrastructures can play in the economic growth of a strategic area such as the North-East will be discussed at the conference entitled "Which logistics for the agro-food sector of the North East?" Organized by Assologistica (Confindustria association that groups specialized logistics operators on behalf of third parties) in collaboration with the Basso Group and under the patronage of Unindustria Treviso. The conference will be held in Treviso on 27 September 2017 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in the Conference Center of the Best Western Premier BHR Treviso Hotel in Quinto di Treviso, Via Postumia Castellana 2.
Although the value of GDP is still far from that of the pre-crisis data, the macroeconomic indicators of Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia show a tendentially positive picture for 2016, with growth of + 1.1%, against the + 0.9% at national level. Even the export figures are positive with a + 1.5% (+ 0.5% nationally) and a business volume that is growing yes but not so much, reaching around 79 billion euros (+1.1 %). In this context of positive growth even if in slow motion, an important exception is represented by the exploit of the agri-food sector, whose exports have increased from 5% to almost 10% in a few years, driven in particular by the wine supply chain and the data of the first part of 2017 confirm this trend.
Well in this context of positivity how can logistics act as an additional growth driver, favoring and fluidifying the activities of agri-food businesses in Veneto? The question will be answered by the many speakers who will take turns during the day in Treviso. The participation of some of the most significant companies in the production and logistics-transport world of the Northeast is expected.
